Introduction of Eaze, the first Cannabis Delivery App on the Market

Now that legal barriers are slowly, but surely being lifted, some companies are looking for ways to get into the market. One company, Eaze, has focused on using technology in order to provide for customers in this market. Just recently, this company has taken advantage of Apple’s loosened restrictions on the Apple Store. Upon having the chance, they have released the first app focused on the delivery of cannabis to the customers. However, there are still some restrictions in place for potential customers to be aware of.

How the App Works

The app works in many of the same ways as other shopping apps. It uses geofencing in order to locate both the items purchased and the location of the customer. This works to make certain that these purchases are occurring in a state where cannabis is legal. Once it checks on this, the app will require the customer to offer some form of identification before they can make any purchases. They will also need to show that they are 21 years of age or older in order to legally purchase anything.

Once these hurdles have been bypassed, the customer will be able to purchase the items available. Then, Eaze will have the items shipped to the customer’s home address. This will make everything easy and much more accessible for the customer.

One Temporary Issue

At this time, Eaze is only delivering to locations in the state of California. As such, anyone living outside of the state will not be able to make use of the app at this time. However, they are planning to expand into Michigan, provided the plans work out.

The Future

With the introduction of an app like this, those that seek to legally purchase cannabis will have a much easier time. Assuming lawmakers become more open to allowing cannabis use, these types of apps could become more common and readily available for customers. In fact, other places have begun to follow suit. For example, Denver has begun to allow for delivery drivers to deliver these products, as well as creating “consumption clubs” to all on-premises use. Truly, Eaze might just be the first step into the future of cannabis.
